Job description

We are looking for a bicycle courier for Post NL.
This vacancy involves the following day job:


  • Depart daily from our depot in Evergem.

  • You work from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm from Monday to Saturday in a varied schedule (for the day off).

  • You load your bicycle with parcels and cycle towards the city of Ghent (11 km) after which you start your round.

  • You cycle approximately 30 to 40 kilometres daily on our electric cargo bike through all weathers.

  • You check the cargo bike for any damage, the equipment and the lights.

  • You charge the cargo bike and keep it clean.

  • Processing the administration of undelivered shipments and returning these shipments.

  • Scan remaining parcels.

  • You keep all records (kilometres driven, range, damage, etc.).

  • If necessary, you assist occasionally in the warehouse.




  • * Salary €14.3360/hour gross + €1.6865/hour net ARAB allowance (= because we cannot provide a toilet during work) + after 6 months €6 MC , hospitalisation insurance, group insurance (once permanently employed)



Your profile

As a bicycle courier for Post NL :


  • Do you have a good command of the Dutch language .

  • Do you have a driving licence AM / A or B.

  • You have excellent social skills and enjoy being around people.

  • Are you sporty and have a passion for cycling.

  • You are friendly to your customers and courteous in traffic.

  • You enjoy going out on your own.

  • You go the extra mile if you have to, because you understand that at PostNL we like to surprise our customers in a positive way.

  • Knowing Ghent city centre like the back of your hand is always a plus!
