Job description
We are looking for a cook who can take on the following tasks:
- You ensure a proper mise-en-place. You prepare your products, ingredients, and all necessities so that you are ready for a busy service.
- You ensure the correct finishing of the plates as prescribed and shown.
- You always work clean and tidy. This also ensures that the kitchen cleanup runs more smoothly.
- You process the hot dishes together with the chef in the manner requested by the customer.
- You take into account various types of allergens to keep the guest satisfied.
- You cook meat according to the different cooking methods that have been taught to you.
- You check the freshness of the products upon delivery and throughout the entire process.
- You participate in ordering to ensure a flawless service.
- You prepare sauces, ingredients, and dishes according to the recipes provided. This keeps the customer coming back for the same end result.
Your profile
Are you an experienced cook with a love for Belgian cuisine and looking for a new culinary challenge in the Lille region? Do you find joy in a cozy brasserie where atmosphere, honest food, and satisfied guests are central? Who is the cook we are looking for? You have at least 1 year of relevant experience in a brasserie kitchen (more experience is certainly welcome). You are stress-resistant, work efficiently, and maintain an overview, even during busy moments. You know the Belgian cuisine inside and out: stew, vol-au-vent, scampi, pasta, steak, ... You can work well independently and take initiative when needed. You have a neat appearance and attach importance to hygiene. You like to roll up your sleeves and are not afraid of tidying up or cleaning. Weekend work is not a problem for you; fixed days off are negotiable. You speak, understand, and read Dutch well.

Our client is a cozy small farm transformed into a cool establishment with a brasserie kitchen. They mainly offer delicious dishes here in a no-nonsense setting with ambiance and coziness.
