Job description

In our steel production site in Ghent, we are looking for a production worker. You will be responsible for the production of steel books and fans. Floors are sawn, drilled and labelled in this department into boards needed for assembling steel fans.


  • You are responsible for setting up, adjusting and operating the sawing and punching machines on the basis of a predetermined schedule.

  • You ensure the supply and removal of the necessary materials to the machine.

  • You perform quality checks on incoming and outgoing goods and take care of the related administration.

  • You ensure good operation of the machines: you solve simple problems and replace tools (sawing, drilling, milling) if necessary.

  • You ensure the prompt delivery of materials. You do this by coordinating activities but also by independently completing certain orders from A to Z.

  • You will work in a day shift.

  • You are stress-resistant, know how to set priorities and enjoy working independently and solving problems.

  • You are an open-minded person who always looks for the most efficient working method.

  • You enjoy working intensively with colleagues and co-workers

  • You preferably already have some work experience in a production environment.

  • You have an eye for detail and feel strongly about quality.
