As a security technician, you will be responsible for the installation and/or maintenance of various security systems at customers in your own region. Your range of tasks includes in particular access control, fire detection and camera surveillance systems. Depending on your experience and ambitions, your responsibilities may vary, but they generally include:

Installation of security systems:
You will install new access control, fire detection and camera surveillance systems at customers' premises. In doing so, you will ensure that all components are correctly placed and configured.

Maintenance of security systems:
You perform regular maintenance on existing security systems to ensure they continue to function optimally. This may include preventive maintenance and troubleshooting any malfunctions.

Following internal procedures:
You will follow the company's internal procedures to ensure work is carried out efficiently and accurately. In doing so, you will report on the work carried out and the status of the systems.

Safety:
Safety is extremely important in your work. You ensure that safety rules are always followed during installations and maintenance work. This is crucial, given the sensitive nature of security systems.

As a security technology technician, you play an important role in ensuring the safety of customers and their property. You will work with advanced technologies and contribute to the security level of various locations.

You will be deployed in your own region, allowing you to work efficiently and respond quickly to customers' needs. Correctly installing and maintaining security systems is essential to ensure a high level of security and give customers peace of mind.

Your profile

The following experience and certificates are required to qualify for the position of security technologies technician:

Experience:

You have a strong technical knowledge of electronic security systems such as fire detection, access control and various security technologies such as intrusion detection, camera surveillance, visualisation systems and IP networks. This demonstrates your familiarity with a wide range of security systems and their operation.
Certificates:

You hold a diploma in Electronics, Electrical Installations, Control and Security Engineering or equivalent. This certificate confirms that you have received formal technical training relevant to the position of technician in security technologies.

In addition, you must also be able to provide a blank certificate of good conduct and morals. This proof shows that you are a trustworthy person and have no criminal background.

It is an added value if you have the Attestation Tobback. The Tobback Attestation is a Flemish attestation that shows that you are not prohibited from working in the security sector and that you are reliable to work with security systems.

With a strong technical knowledge of security technologies and the right certificates, you are well qualified for the position of technician in security technologies. Your expertise will enable you to work effectively on various security systems and contribute to ensuring the safety of customers and their property. Your formal technical training and required attestations demonstrate that you are competent to work in this technical and responsible role.
