Functieomschrijving

The cutter is a person who, on "table circular saws", cuts metal clusters (a group of smaller parts on a branch) so as to individualise them and then transfers them to a colleague who will cut away the excess metal. In other words, this involves 'roughing' or pre-cutting the material.

As a steel branch cutter you must:

  • Use a hoist to pick up the clean bundles from the trolleys

  • Place the bundles on the work table

  • Collect the waste in a bin and send it for re-use on the conveyor belt

  • Change the cutting discs on the machines

  • Visually check the bars and indicate non-compliant parts on a data sheet

  • Ensure the quality of your work


Using the CUTMasters or Universal:

  • Cut the heads (cones) from the bundles

  • Separate the bars to obtain sub-assemblies


Jouw profiel

Do you have initial experience in the industrial and metal sectors?

Do you have previous experience of using cutting machines: saws, disk saws or other systems?
Are you not afraid of moving machines?
Large cutting machines can be frightening.

You're experienced and meticulous when it comes to cutting and, above all, you're committed to safety?

Then this could be the job for you!


You'll also have to be prepared to work in a metalworking environment that's dusty, dirty and rough! But, of course, you'll be working with cheerful colleagues who are always ready to take newcomers under their wings.
