Job description
As a panel beater at AutoRepairGroup, you are responsible for repairing body damage to vehicles.
You perform various sheet metal tasks such as dent removal, alignment, and replacement of body parts, ensuring that vehicles are restored to perfect condition.

Component Replacement & Alignment
Use of Tools & Equipment
○ Richtbanken / chassis alignment benches
○ Spot welders & MIG/MAG welding equipment
○ Panel pullers, glue pullers & slide hammers
○ Measuring tools like car geometry lasers or digital gauges
Structural Integrity & Safety Checks
Team Collaboration & Workflow Efficiency
Workshop Safety & Cleanliness
You perform various sheet metal tasks such as dent removal, alignment, and replacement of body parts, ensuring that vehicles are restored to perfect condition.
Bodywork Repair & Metal Reshaping
- Carry out professional repairs of vehicle body panels, using manual and hydraulic tools to restore shape and alignment after collisions or other damage.
- Perform cold and hot dent removal techniques, using hammers, dollies, heat-shrink methods, or induction tools.
- Reconstruct structural components (pillars, chassis sections) in compliance with manufacturer safety standards.
Component Replacement & Alignment
- Dismantle and replace severely damaged panels, bumpers, doors, roofs, fenders, etc., using original manufacturer parts or certified alternatives.
- Realign panels with millimetric precision to ensure proper fit, finish, and functionality (e.g. door and trunk alignment, gap measurements).
- Reinforce or restore impact zones using welding, bonding or riveting techniques.
Use of Tools & Equipment
- Operate modern equipment including:
○ Richtbanken / chassis alignment benches
○ Spot welders & MIG/MAG welding equipment
○ Panel pullers, glue pullers & slide hammers
○ Measuring tools like car geometry lasers or digital gauges
- Work with technical datasheets and structural blueprints to determine correct repair methods.
Structural Integrity & Safety Checks
- After repairs, conduct visual and functional checks to verify structural integrity and alignment.
- Ensure all repaired parts meet legal safety standards and internal quality controls.
- Collaborate with Quality Control or team leads for final inspection before paint preparation.
Team Collaboration & Workflow Efficiency
- Coordinate with dismantling, painting, and quality control teams to ensure timely progress of each repair phase.
- Maintain clear communication regarding damage assessments, parts needs, or repair progress.
- Follow job tracking systems (digital or manual) to log each step of the repair process.
Workshop Safety & Cleanliness
- Keep your work area organised and comply with all safety and environmental protocols (e.g. safe welding, fire prevention, proper disposal of materials).
- Maintain tools and equipment in optimal working condition.
Your profile
For our open position of Panel beater we are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced as a panel beater in the automotive body repair sector.
- Has the knowledge of modern panel techniques and equipment.
- someone with precision and strong attention to detail.
- A team player with a proactive attitude.
- With willingness to keep learning and stay updated on new technologies.
- your language is a good level English
