Job description
As a marine electrician, you are responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical systems aboard various types of vessels. This includes work on industrial wiring, switchboards, heavy motors, and high-voltage systems.
Main responsibilities:

- Performing maintenance and repair work on ship electrical systems.
- Diagnosing electrical faults and problems and effectively resolving them.
- Installing and testing new electrical equipment and systems.
- Inspecting electrical installations to ensure compliance with maritime regulations and safety standards.
- Assisting in inspections and testing of electrical systems as part of general ship repairs.
- Collaborating with other technical departments to ensure smooth repair projects.
Your profile
Job requirements:
- At least a diploma in electrical engineering or a comparable technical education.
- Experience as an electrician, preferably within the maritime sector.
- Thorough knowledge of and experience with heavy engines and high-voltage systems.
- Qualification and experience in working with electrical systems on ships.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with maritime safety requirements and standards.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Willingness to work in the port of Zeebrugge.
