For this position, we are looking for a motivated crane operator who enjoys working on-site and takes responsibility in their work. You work accurately, safely, and have an eye for quality at the site.
What do we expect from you?
- A C driver's license is required
- You are willing to perform manual ground work in addition to crane operations
- Experience with GPS and vibrating rotator is a strong plus
- You can read and correctly execute plans
- You have a good knowledge of Dutch or English
- You preferably reside in the Gent – Antwerp – Brussels region
Salary and extra-legal benefits
- Full-time position during daytime hours with a permanent option after a positive interim period
- Compensation according to the PC 124 scales, between €18.00 and €21.00 gross per hour depending on experience

The construction sites are mainly located in the triangle Ghent – Antwerp – Brussels, which means you will work on different projects within public roadworks.
You work in an experienced team where colleagues support each other and where a no-nonsense mentality prevails. At the construction site, hard work is done, but at the same time, there is room for independence and responsibility. Communication is direct and efficient, ensuring that everyone clearly knows what needs to be done.
Every day, you leave from home to the various construction sites in a company van. This means you don’t have to drive to the depot first every morning, allowing you to start your workday efficiently.
As a cooperative crane operator, you are responsible for precise leveling work on public sites. You combine operating the crane with actively working on the site and support your colleagues where needed.
Your tasks include:
- Performing precise leveling work with the crane on public sites
- Manually assisting with earthmoving and excavation work alongside the team
- Safely and accurately executing work according to plans and guidelines
- Working with modern techniques such as GPS and vibration rotator
- Daily travel to various sites within the region of Ghent – Antwerp – Brussels
Our client is a medium-sized company in Verrebroek, created through mergers and acquisitions. They carry out activities such as:
- Road construction
- Sewer works
- Parking lot construction
- Landscaping
- Green maintenance and winter services
Around 150 people work together here on the preparation, design, and execution of interesting projects in construction, infrastructure, and the environment.
