Job description

For the vacancy as a formworker in the Antwerp region, you will work on very large projects. You will perform the following tasks:

  • you will leave every morning together with your team for various construction sites;

  • you will be picked up at home in front of the door in Antwerp by the foreman;

  • the work as plasterer starts on site at 7 am;

  • your working day ends on site at 15h30;

  • as plasterer you work under the supervision of a foreman;

  • you work together with 2 to 3 colleague formers and assistants;

  • you carry out work on the basis of a construction plan;

  • you will work in the private and public sector;

  • you will work on new construction projects;

  • you work with system formwork

  • you perform shuttering work for schools, residential care centres and public buildings, among others;

  • you perform shuttering work for bridges and tunnels;

  • placing metal (aluminium and steel) formwork panels

  • placing wooden formwork panels

  • placing aluminium formwork panels;

  • your first responsibility is to strip formwork in renovation work;

  • placing horizontal and vertical frames

  • placing formwork panels;

  • you make moulds (with wood, plastic or metal);

  • you carpenter and assemble the formwork;

  • you assemble the formwork;

  • you pour the concrete into the formwork;

  • you reinforce the concrete with iron mesh or reinforcement;

  • exceptionally, you perform traditional formwork work;

  • helping other colleagues where necessary;

  • at the end of your working day you will be dropped off at home in front of the door;

  • overtime is paid via the KB213 system or can be saved up to take as recuperation

  • safety remains your priority at all times


Your profile

  • preferably you already have experience with system formwork;

  • you have a VCA certificate or are willing to obtain one via Accent Construct;

  • you are someone who sees work for yourself and takes things on;;

  • you are not afraid of physically demanding work;

  • you have no problem working through wind and weather;

  • you like a good team spirit;

  • you pick up new things quickly;

  • you are still very eager to learn;

  • performing work in a safe manner is the most important thing for you on the site.
