Job description

For the vacancy of Mechanic, our client in the Eeklo region is looking for someone to take on the following tasks:

  • you have a first experience in metal or equivalent through training in metal

  • you assemble large constructions on site, for various projects

  • you can work with general building materials such as a grinding wheel, drill, spanner


Your profile

For the Mechanic vacancy, you can answer yes to the following skills and competences:

  • great desire to work in the metal sector

  • outdoor work (hot and cold) poses no problem

  • no fear of working at height (30 to 80 metres high)

  • you don't mind starting a bit earlier (+/- 4h) or working longer. These can sometimes be days of +/-10h

  • experience with a work platform or enforcer is a big plus

  • VCA certificate, or willing to obtain one

  • driving licence is useful so that you can drive to the sites yourself sometimes

Our client specialises in metal trading and steel structures. E.g. building factories, port facilities, halls, silos, masts, H.S. structures, pipe bridges...

Their production capacity in steel construction is 500 tonnes of steel per month. They offer services for custom steel structures, railway infrastructure, petrochemicals and power plants.
In their metal trading division, they are specialists in concrete reinforcement and all accessories. These can be delivered to your door either gross, painted, metallised or galvanised.
