Job description

As a road worker in the Wommersom region, you'll be involved in various tasks related to road construction and maintenance. Here are some key responsibilities:

  • You start your day early, usually around 7 a.m., at the designated work site.

  • Your work may involve repairing, resurfacing, or constructing roads and pavements.

  • You'll operate machinery such as rollers, pavers, and compactors to lay asphalt or concrete.

  • Tasks may include digging trenches, installing drainage systems, and compacting soil.

  • You'll assist in setting up traffic signs and barriers to ensure safety for workers and motorists.

  • Maintaining a clean and organized work site is essential, including clearing debris and waste materials.

  • You'll work closely with your team to coordinate tasks and ensure project deadlines are met.

  • Following safety protocols and wearing appropriate protective gear is a priority at all times.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Ability to start work early in the morning and travel to various work sites.
