Job description

For the vacancy of semi-automatic welder in Eeklo and Wondelgem, you will be assigned many tasks.
Below is a sample of the range of tasks:

  • You will weld assembled structural parts according to the welding regulations (WPS) and predetermined welding sequence

  • You have insight into the work situation and material behaviour

  • You will weld both fillet and fillet welds without weld defects in multiple welding positions

  • You check your own welding on appearance and dimensions


Your profile

We are looking for an experienced semi-automatic welder for a company in the Eeklo and Wondelgem region.
For this vacancy, you meet the following requirements:

  • You have obtained at least the BSO certificate in welding construction or equivalent through experience

  • You have at least 5 years' experience in heavy construction with weld-throughs in various positions that are examined ultrasonically (UT) or radiographically (RT)

  • You weld fillet welds and penetrations all positions PA, PB (under hand), PC (out of side), PF (vertically upwards), PD and PE (overhead)

  • You pass a welding test semi-automatic multilayer fillet weld in positions PB, PF and PD and fillet weld in positions PA, PF and PE

  • You have a VCA certificate or are willing to obtain one

  • You have a good knowledge of Dutch, French or English
