Talent Lab: focus on lifelong learning

Talent lab

The HR market is more dynamic than ever. Companies are finding it increasingly difficult to attract the right profiles. Consequently, there is an acute shortage of suitable profiles in the labour market. Training has become the new method of recruiting, and we are happy to help you with that. When profiles can’t be found, we partner with our clients to “mould” them by training candidates. Enter Talent Lab: the newest member of the Accent family and our tool for promoting lifelong learning.

About Talent Lab

Talent Lab is a one-stop shop for all training needs, and not only for temporary agency workers, but also for your permanent colleagues. On the one hand, existing potential in the company is developed further so that expertise and managerial positions can be filled internally (upskilling). On the other hand, inexperienced or unskilled candidates are retrained using basic training to make them employable and ready to receive further on-the-job training (reskilling).

Talent Lab Upskilling

Through Upskilling, you hone the skills and competencies of your employees to make your company fit for the future: from legally required refresher training to customised eye-opening growth programmes or workshops.

  • Technical training
  • Business training
  • Safety training

An example of upskilling training is the “Start to lead” programme, which provides leadership for new leaders. During this hands-on training, there is plenty of scope for participant input and cases. They share their experiences and reflect on the current way of working during each session.

Talent Lab Reskilling

Talent Lab develops inflow programmes for bottleneck professions where candidates who have no prior knowledge are retrained in a simple manner to become the specialists and experts of tomorrow.

One of Talent Lab’s first reskilling projects was to set up a complete HVAC programme. The need for talent is huge in the HVAC sector. By way of illustration, for every refrigeration technician vacancy in January 2022 there were only 0.65 candidates available with the right skills and experience. Talent Lab has devised a short training programme for anyone interested in the HVAC sector, which provides very practical training in the basic skills that are further developed on the shop floor. And it’s been a success!

Talent Lab offers open courses for which you can register individual employees, but they also organise in-company training tailored to your business. Want to know more about what’s available?
