Formwork Carpenter

As a formworker, you will work on very large projects. In the morning, your colleague will pick you up to drive together to the site.Your role includes:Formwork tasks for schools, care centers, public buildings, but also bridges, tunnels...You read plans and working drawings;You coordinate the activities of your team;With wooden planks and panels, you create molds;You nail and assemble the formwork and join them together;You pour the concrete into the formwork;When the concrete has hardened into a construction element, you remove the formwork;You reinforce concrete with iron rebar or reinforcement, for which you cut, bend, and connect metal rods;For large concrete structures, there are prefabricated metal formwork elements, which you assemble together. 

Formwork work for, among other things, schools, residential care centers, public buildings, but also bridges, tunnels...You read plans and working drawings;You coordinate the work of your teamWith wooden planks and panels, you make molds;You carpenter and assemble the formwork and join it together;You pour the concrete into the formwork;When the concrete has hardened into a building element, you remove the formwork;You reinforce concrete with iron rebar or reinforcement, for this you cut, bend and connect your metal rods;For large concrete structures there are prefabricated metal formwork elements, which you assemble together. 

As a formworker you ensure that concrete gets the correct shape. Without your work, a building or construction cannot be built properly.What do you do specifically?You make and place formworks in which concrete is pouredYou use wooden or metal systems to build shapesYou ensure that everything is firmly and correctly set upAfter hardening, you help remove the formworkYou work according to plans and instructions from the site managerYou keep the worksite safe and orderlyEvery day you see what you have accomplished together with the team. 

As a formwork carpenter, you are partly responsible for the preparation and placement of formworks.What will you do?You place formworks using PERI and DokaYou read plans and perform tasks accuratelyYou ensure that formworks form straight and sturdy shapesYou assist with chiseling and cutting formworksYou collaborate with your team and team leaderYou ensure the site remains safe and tidyYour work is technical, practical, and highly visible in the end result.

These are the tasks you will need to perform:Preparing and placing formwork for concrete structuresCreating wooden and metal formwork systems according to technical drawingsSupplying necessary materials and positioning moldsAnchoring and supporting formwork to ensure shape and stabilityChecking and adjusting formwork to guarantee accurate dimensionsAssisting in pouring and compacting concreteAssembling support beams and supports for temporary construction elementsMaintaining formwork materials and cleaning the workspace after completion 

Co-produce prefab concrete elements such as beams, columns, and I-beamsBuild, adjust, and dismantle formwork (wood/metal) according to technical plansRead and execute technical drawings and work instructions accuratelyPlace, cut, bend, connect, and spot weld reinforcementsContribute to the pouring and processing of concreteCheck dimensions and stabilityCooperate in safety, order, and cleanliness at the workplace 

Concrete worker

You will be involved in the production of concrete prefab elements such as beams, columns, and I-beams.You are responsible for the assembly of the formwork (light carpentry). For this, you can receive internal training.You build, adjust, and dismantle wooden or metal formworks according to plans.You read technical drawings and work instructions accurately.You place, cut to size, bend, connect, and spot weld the reinforcements in the formwork.You check the dimensions, stability, and correct positioning of all reinforcements.You work closely with your team and assist with pouring and processing concrete.You contribute to maintaining order, cleanliness, and safety in the workplace.
