As a concrete plant operator, you work in a concrete plant where concrete is produced for prefab concrete elements.
The working environment consists of an industrial setting with large silos for raw materials (such as sand, gravel, cement), mixing installations, and loading areas for trucks.
The plant itself is a combination of indoor and outdoor work. Inside, there is usually a control room where the concrete plant operator uses computers, monitors, and control panels to manage and monitor the production process.
Recipes are entered here, and the mixing process is controlled.
Outside, the concrete plant operator comes into contact with large installations, trucks, loading materials, and sometimes drivers and colleagues who load and unload. There are sounds from machines, conveyor belts, and mixers, and it is a dusty environment due to the cement.
Safety is very important in this environment; work is carried out with heavy machinery, moving vehicles, and raw materials. You work in a dynamic and sometimes hectic environment where accuracy, flexibility, and teamwork are crucial.
As a concrete batching plant operator in Bruges, you are responsible for the complete operation of the concrete plant, where you ensure the production of high-quality concrete for prefab concrete elements such as I-beams with variable and constant heights, standard beams for bridges, artworks, TTX floor elements, and purlins in pre-stressed concrete through the computer. Every morning, you start by setting up the machines and maintain a keen eye on the production process during the workday to ensure smooth and safe operations. You replenish the silos using a bulldozer and perform preventive maintenance on the machines to prevent breakdowns. Additionally, you are responsible for cleaning the mixers and the general maintenance of the installation. You work independently, without direct colleagues, and ensure the entire operation runs optimally. Flexibility in your work hours is required, as you typically start between 8 and 9 AM. This role is essential for the smooth progression of the production process in our concrete plant in Bruges.
Colleagues enjoy working here because everyone works together to keep a well-functioning concrete plant running. Everyone has the same goal: delivering good work and high-quality prefab concrete. The atmosphere is familial, everyone knows each other, and you can always say what you think. Here, you are not just a number but truly part of the group. That makes it extra pleasant to work here.
Our partner, with locations all over Belgium and far beyond, is a large construction group and pioneer within the construction sector. They specialize in the construction of industrial, logistic, and agricultural buildings, distribution centers, offices, commercial spaces, and swimming pools.

Job rotation is perfectly possible; the opportunities and perspectives are endless. In this way, you as an employee have job security, a good feeling, and great projects that you can complete successfully together with your colleagues.
