Job description

For this job with a permanent contract, our client is looking for multiple groundworkers in Ramsel. Existing teams are also welcome. Here is a practical overview of the tasks you will be assigned:

  • you depart from Ramsel every morning to various construction sites;

  • you will be picked up at your doorstep or meet at a convenient pickup point in the Ramsel region;

  • the different construction sites are located in the regions of Antwerp, Brussels, Flemish Brabant, Kempen, and Limburg;

  • alongside your colleagues, you are responsible for carrying out various groundworks;

  • you use tools such as a spade and a shovel for these tasks;

  • you perform these works under the guidance of the team leader;

  • you work alongside the crane and crane operator;

  • you are responsible for breaking up the existing paving, which can be sidewalks or roadways;

  • you dig pits and (test) trenches;

  • you are also responsible for filling and closing these pits and trenches;

  • you ensure proper trench finishing;

  • you will compact pits;

  • you are responsible for shoring pits;

  • you pull cables;

  • you install various pipelines;

  • you lay pipes;

  • you are responsible for installing and renewing house connections;

  • you are responsible for installing and renewing industrial connections;

  • you assist colleagues as needed;

  • you take care of all the equipment provided to you;

  • safety and safe working on the construction site are always your highest priority.

Our client with this open position as a groundworker with a permanent contract in Ramsel has a history dating back to the 1960s. From the very beginning, they have specialized in the installation of underground pressure pipelines, ranging from drinking water supply and distribution pipelines to pipelines for the transportation of gases and liquids, as well as various industrial pipelines. They are also responsible for the installation, renovation, maintenance, and expansion of pressure pipeline networks and sewage systems. This construction company's goal is to gradually increase the share of pipelines and industrial piping in the coming years. Currently, they can already be called market leaders in pipelines, a feat achieved through the extensive experience of their 120 in-house employees.
