You work in and around POP's (Point of Presence), the technical hubs of the fiber optic network. Thanks to your technical knowledge, you ensure that these installations continue to function safely, reliably, and optimally.

As a Fiber Technician, you are responsible for the technical maintenance and quality control of POP's and fiber optic connections.

Your tasks:

  • inspecting and checking POP's (Point of Presence)
  • following up on fiber installations during placements
  • carrying out quality checks and reporting
  • resolving technical deviations and re-inspections
  • patching and splicing fiber optic connections
  • carrying out measurements on fiber connections
  • preventive and corrective maintenance on street cabinets and POP's
  • carrying out maintenance on industrial electrical installations such as ventilation, air conditioning, lighting and electric gates

You depart from:

  • the Antwerp region or
  • the Leuven region

During the day, your place of residence is taken into account as much as possible.

You work mainly in Belgium.

For on-call services, you are deployable throughout the entire Belgian territory.

During the start-up, you will follow training in Utrecht. Afterwards, you will go to the Netherlands an average of twice a month for technical inspections and training.
