Job description
As an automation technician, you are jointly responsible for both preventive and corrective maintenance of installations in the fields of Electricity, Mechanics, Pneumatics, and Instrumentation and Control systems.
- You provide support in solving complex technical problems and seek solutions to improve the reliability of installations
- You also play a role in preventing production problems in automation and networks
- Additionally, you translate technical knowledge into work instructions, checklists, and procedures
- You share both theoretical and practical knowledge with your team and carry out measurements and analyses in thermal, mechanical, and electrical areas
- You report to the Shift Leader
Your profile
Our new automation technician describes themselves as follows:
- Bachelor in automation, electromechanics, electricity or electronics
- First relevant experience in automation
- In-depth knowledge of electricity, electronics and PLC with experience in production environments
- Experience with various systems such as PLC (S7, WinCC) and knowledge of Twincat is a plus. Familiarity with networks, communication techniques, industrial protocols, frequency controllers, servo motors, and measurement and detection systems is also required
- Creative, analytical thinking and strong communication skills as a team player
- Hands-on mentality, skilled in investigating machine problems using a PC and performing IO tests
- Knowledge of serial communication (e.g. profibus, As-i) and industrial electricity
- Eagerness to learn and a strong awareness of safety as the highest priority
