As a joiner, you are responsible for carefully carrying out and restoring joint work on restoration and renovation projects.

Your duties include, among other things:

  • Carrying out traditional pointing work;
  • Repairing and renewing existing joints;
  • Finishing facades and masonry;
  • Working according to different pointing techniques;
  • Carrying out cut joints;

For almost 100 years, a family business built strong expertise in restoring exterior facades. What began with traditional pointing and carving grew into an extensive specialization in facade restoration. Over the generations, the knowledge was further passed on and expanded, together with a dedicated team of experienced craftsmen and artisans.

The focus is on restoring historic and valuable buildings to their original glory. The tasks include among other things:

  • Cleaning facades;
  • Touching up and renewing joints;
  • Plastering, painting and limewashing;
  • Restoring mouldings and mosaics;
  • Protecting and maintaining facades.

For each project, in consultation with suppliers, the right materials and techniques are sought. In doing so, the historical value and the unique characteristics of the building are always taken into account.

The projects are mainly located in Antwerp and are carried out for private clients, general contractors and architects. Regularly this happens under the supervision of the Agency for Immovable Heritage, which means that work is carried out according to strict standards and regulations for the preservation of historical heritage.

With respect for historical architecture, work is done with high-quality products and a combination of traditional and innovative techniques. The goal? Restore valuable buildings to their former glory, so that future generations can also enjoy them.
