Job description

Our client is actively looking for a skilled roofer - specialized in restoration - to strengthen our team in working on historic buildings and churches. The ideal candidate for this position should feel at home with the following responsibilities:

  • Performing restorative roofing work together with a team of experienced craftsmen

  • Working at unique locations, with previous projects such as Het Steen in Antwerp, the Sint-Walburga Church in Oudenaarde, and the open-air museum in Bokrijk

  • Renovating and repairing sloped roofs of classic buildings and protected monuments

  • Being accustomed to working at significant heights, with a minimum of 20 meters



Your approach consists of:

  • Restoring original roof structures where possible

  • Replacing parts if restoration is not feasible

  • A combination of traditional methods and modern equipment to achieve the desired objectives


Your profile

We are looking for a motivated roofer with a penchant for variety and the ability to perform physical labor. The ideal candidate brings the following to the table:

  • Experience with working on sloping roofs and the ambition to further specialize in restoration roofing

  • Specific knowledge of working with natural slates, installing copper and zinc, and roof carpentry

  • Familiarity with working on scaffolding and a head that doesn’t spin at heights

  • Good communication skills in Dutch

  • Possession of a driver’s license B



In addition, a proactive approach to safety regulations and the willingness to obtain the VCA certificate.
