Job description

Under the direction of the Director of Plant Operations, this position is responsible for developing, optimizing, and motivating the distribution organization, including customer service, planning, purchasing, and logistics. It also involves implementing tools and work ethics to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction. This role oversees all critical components of the European Distribution Center and provides leadership that best serves the Company's interests.

1. Responsible for leading the operations of EMEA operations including customer interactions, order fulfillment, inventory management, purchasing, logistics .
2. Manage and train multifunctional team and provide coaching to employees when needed

5. Analyze processes of distribution and provide areas of improvement,
6. Establish and monitor performance KPI’s, reporting to manage the results.
7. Ensure appropriate and timely response to customer needs.
8. Establish and maintain effective communication channels, both internal and external, for receipt and transmittal of information, requirements and priorities
9. In collaboration with Finance Department, ensure timely issuance of invoices to customers, monitor financial situation of customers, and strive for constant improvement of on time payment of invoices by customers.
10. Striving for constant improvement in on time delivery and lead time reduction.
11. Prioritize conflicting customer requirements and lead manufacturing efforts toward the direction most beneficial to both the company and the customer.
12. Maintain necessary contacts with key customers, including direct sales efforts
13. Maintain knowledge of Twin Disc manufacturing facility capabilities and limitations
14. Work harmoniously, cooperatively, and courteously with others at all time

Your profile

  • Languages: French and English required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a minimum 4 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment or significant (8+ years) on hand professional experience

  • Experience in management position with significant experience in distribution and/or customer service

  • Computer literacy, including spreadsheets, word processing database management (Office)

  • Knowledge of an ERP, preferably JD Edwards

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to lead and motivate people

  • Ability to set a vision, evaluate strategic options and focus on priorities

  • Proven track record of proactive communication with customers

  • Ability to develop and achieve financial plans, making sound judgments which have significant impact on company performance earnings

  • Knowledge of or interest for technical products
