Job description

As a technical inspector of passenger trains, you play a crucial role in train traffic. You ensure that defects have been repaired and that our passengers board a mechanically well-functioning train. This way, you make sure they reach their destination safely every day.

As a technical inspector of passenger trains, your main task is to inspect passenger trains, but there's more:


  • You conduct brake tests.

  • You perform technical inspections and minor repairs on passenger equipment (at the station, the train yard, or in the workshop).

  • You carry out small repair works on buildings or infrastructure (in the train yard or at the maintenance post).


Your profile


  • You have a certificate of technical secondary education (after 4 years), vocational secondary education (after 6 years) in the field of mechanics - electricity or an equivalence certificate. Do you not have such a diploma but have 2 years of experience in a technical job or have you followed an equivalent training at VDAB, Syntra or another training institution? Do not hesitate to register! - You enjoy working with a team in a shift system (3x8), also on weekends. - You are handy and work accurately. - You have knowledge of mechanical assembly techniques and can perform mechanical measurements. - You can read plans. - You are eager to learn about new techniques and installations.
