Vacation days
Work is important, but rest is too! Luckily, that's well taken care of here.
You follow the official construction calendar of the Brussels-Halle-Vilvoorde district.
Specifically: 20 statutory vacation days + 12 ADV days = ± 32 days of leave per year
Typical schedule:
- 4 weeks of construction leave in the summer
- 2 weeks around Christmas & New Year
- And a few individual days
So yes… Your vacation is mostly fixed. But hey, that makes planning at least easy.

You mainly work outside, in the region around Asse and sometimes a bit further.
You appear on job sites along roads, at homes, or in public places. Digging trenches, laying cables, installing equipment… you are in the middle of the action.
Rain, sun, or wind? You're there. But honestly: you won't miss a desk.
What will you specifically do?
- Install and maintain telecom networks
- Dig trenches and place cables (yes, sometimes going home with dirty shoes)
- Install street cabinets and network components
- Connect, measure, and test cables
- Work according to safety rules and report your work
