Contest Rules "Win an Extra Month's Salary"

The company Accent Construct nv, with its registered office at Beversesteenweg 576, 8800 Roeselare and company number 0887.120.626 (hereinafter: “Accent Construct”), organizes a Contest under the name “Win an Extra Month's Salary” (hereinafter: “the Contest”). The Contest runs from March 3, 2025, at 8:30 AM until May 30, 2025, at 5:30 PM (hereinafter: “the Duration”).

The Contest is a contest in which participants (hereinafter: “the Participants”) can participate by answering the following Contest question (hereinafter: “the Contest Question”):

“How many participants will this Contest have by April 30, 2025?”
(Tip: a similar Accent campaign had 354 participants after 6 weeks in 2019).

The Participants can win an extra month's salary (hereinafter: “the Prize”), the calculation and awarding conditions of which are further specified in these Contest Rules. There will be four winners, as this Prize will be awarded once within the Construct niche (for all construction profiles) in Flanders, once within the Technical niche (for all technically trained profiles) in Flanders, once within the Construct niche (for all construction profiles) in Wallonia, and once within the Technical niche (for all technically trained profiles) in Wallonia.

On June 5, 2025, an Accent Construct employee will announce the winner via a personal message by e-mail.

The Contest is accessible through the following page: www.accentjobs.be/winanextramonthsalary (hereinafter: “the Contest Page”).

Winners are only eligible for the Prize described above.

 

ARTICLE 1 – WHO MAY PARTICIPATE?

1.1. Natural persons (i) who are at least 18 years old at the time of participation, (ii) who have a valid e-mail address, (iii) who have an official residence in Belgium during the Duration of the Contest, and (iv) who register in their own name, (v) who meet the Contest conditions* can participate in the Contest. Accent Construct cannot be held liable for the participation of minors in the Contest and expressly reserves the right to disqualify minor participants.

*The Contest conditions are as follows: the Participant (i) has signed a registration form with Accent Construct, (ii) has worked at least 30 days effectively through Accent Construct during the Duration of the Contest, (iii) is bound by a temporary employment contract with Accent Construct at the time of awarding the Prize (being on June 5, 2025), (iv) is a new candidate, (v) is not employed as a student worker or flexi-jobber and is a candidate who was selected directly by Accent Construct (not a payroll candidate via a client of Accent Construct). A new candidate is understood to be: the person who has not signed a temporary employment contract with Accent Construct in the year 2025 (hereinafter: “the Contest Conditions”).

1.2. A Participant may only enter once and be eligible to win the Prize.

1.3. Participation in the Contest is not permitted for: (i) persons who hold an internal position at Accent Construct, its subsidiaries, its partners or their subsidiaries, or any other company involved in organizing or promoting the Contest and for (ii) persons who have a direct relationship with the aforementioned persons (relatives in ascending or descending line, spouses, brothers, and sisters).

1.4. In the case of a violation of the above-mentioned rules, the Participant will be disqualified immediately, automatically, and without prior notice.

 

ARTICLE 2 – CONTEST

2.1. The Contest is offered free of charge to Participants and participation is not subject to any purchase obligation.

2.2. The Contest will be organized from March 3, 2025, until May 30, 2025, at 5.30 PM and will consist of one round after which the winner will be selected based on the Contest Conditions and the answer to the Contest Question.

On June 5, 2025, an Accent Construct employee will announce the winners via a personal e-mail message . The Contest is a contest in which participants can win one extra month’s salary, the calculation and awarding conditions of which are determined in Article 5 of these Contest Rules. The Contest is accessible via the Contest Page.

The winner can only win the Prize described above.

2.3. Accent Construct reserves the right to extend the Contest without prior notice. If Accent Construct decides to extend the Contest, a notice will be posted on the Contest Page.

Accent Construct also expressly reserves the right to terminate the Contest at any time earlier than provided in these Contest Rules at its sole discretion.

 

ARTICLE 3 – HOW TO PARTICIPATE?

3.1. The official Contest page is accessible on the Contest Page.

3.2. During the Duration, the Participant can participate in the Contest by:

  1. Visiting the Contest Page;
  2. Completing the form on the Contest Page and thus registering and signing up for the Contest;
  3. Answering the Contest Question;
  4. Meeting the Contest Conditions;
  5. Accepting the Contest Rules;
  6. Having read and understood the Privacy Policy.

3.3. By registering and answering the Contest Question and meeting the Contest Conditions, each Participant will be eligible for the Prize once when the Contest ends.

3.4. All answers uploaded by Participants must comply with applicable legislation as well as general rules of decency. Accent Construct always reserves the right to remove materials from the Contest Page if it deems, in its sole discretion, that there are grounds to do so. Accent Construct is not required to inform the Participant concerned and shall in no case owe any compensation.

3.5. Participation in the Contest via correspondence or in any other form than through the official Contest Page provided by Accent Construct is excluded.

 

ARTICLE 4 – SELECTION OF THE WINNERS

4.1. At the end of the Contest, per niche/region (Construct Flanders, Technical Flanders, Construct Wallonia, Technical Wallonia), the Participant whose answer is closest to the correct answer to the Contest Question and who meets the Contest Conditions (hereinafter: "the Winner") will win. In the event of an ex aequo, the time of submission will be taken into account and the Participant who submitted their answer first will win. The Winner of the Prize will be determined and announced by the Jury after the end of the Contest.

4.2. Within 7 days after the selection, the Winner will be personally notified via e-mail or telephone. Upon receiving this notification, the Winner must contact Accent Construct.

Participants who do not win a Prize will not receive any writing or communication informing them that they did not win.

4.3. The identity of the Winner may be published on the Contest Page as well as on Accent’s social media channels once announced. The Winner will be personally contacted.

ARTICLE 5 – PRIZES

5.1. The Prize consists of one extra month's salary, which includes:

  • the gross hourly wage according to the first payslip from employment via Accent Construct during the Duration of the Contest (hereinafter: “the Payslip”);
  • multiplied by the factor 4.3333;
  • multiplied by the number of actual hours worked according to the Payslip (excluding overtime);
  • reduced by applicable tax and social security contributions.

Anything not included in the above list will not be considered in the calculation of the Prize.

The Prize will be transferred to the Winner's bank account (as specified in the registration form).

5.2. The Prize cannot be taken back or exchanged, nor exchanged for cash or currency, nor can it be transferred to any other person.

 

ARTICLE 6 – DISQUALIFICATION, SUSPENSION OR CANCELLATION

6.1. Any violation of these Contest Rules or any form of fraud will result in the disqualification of the Participant. Accent Construct may disqualify a Participant upon clear and reasonably grounded suspicions of a violation of these Contest Rules.

6.2. Disqualified Participants are no longer allowed to take part in the Contest. Accent Construct's decisions in this regard are final and cannot be appealed.

6.3. Accent Construct reserves the right to shorten, suspend, modify or cancel the Competition in case of any reason independent of its will or in case of force majeure making it impossible to continue the Competition in accordance with current Competition rules, including in case of Internet malfunction or any other problem related to telecommunication networks, computers or servers, Internet providers, computer systems or computer programmes.

6.4. Accent Construct also reserves the right to shorten, suspend, or extend the Contest at its sole discretion.

6.5. Where a change or suspension occurs under Clauses 6.3 or 6.4, Accent Construct shall clearly post a notice of such change or suspension on the Competition Page.

6.6. If the Contest Rules are modified by Accent Construct, Participants will be informed of these changes and will then have the choice to either continue participating or withdraw from the Contest.

ARTICLE 7 – LIABILITY

7.1. All disputes or complaints regarding the Contest should be addressed exclusively to Accent Construct.

7.2. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Accent Construct is only liable for direct damages proven by the Participant that are the direct result of Accent Construct or its representatives failing to perform the essential obligations outlined in these Contest Rules, intentional misconduct, or gross negligence by Accent Construct or its representatives.

Moreover, the total liability of Accent Construct for any damages that a Participant may suffer is limited to an amount of EUR 1,000.00.

7.3. Accent Construct shall not be liable for indirect damages occurring in the context of participation in the Competition, of any nature and with any cause, origin or consequences, even if it has been warned of the risk of such damages, including damages caused by:

  1. an interruption or malfunction of the Internet or the Participant's computer or any other problem related to telecommunication networks, computers or servers, Internet providers, IT systems, or software;
  2. the access by anyone to the Contest Page or the inability to access the Contest Page;
  3. the use of the Contest Page, including any defects or viruses that could infect and/or damage the Participant’s computer equipment or other property.

7.4. If the Contest is terminated as a result of the actions of one of the Participants, Accent Construct reserves the right to claim compensation for any damages suffered.

7.6. Apart from cases of serious or intentional misconduct, neither Accent Construct, its employees, nor any third parties involved in organizing the Contest can be held liable for any damages of any kind arising from participation in or the organization of the Contest, the selection of the Winners, or the awarding or non-awarding of the Prize. The liability of the parties mentioned in this clause can under no circumastance be increased as a result of any modification, suspension, or termination of the Contest.

7.7. The Participant is solely responsible for the content of the answers he/she uploads to the Contest Page. The Participants guarantee that the submitted answers do not violate any the rights of third parties and will fully indemnify and hold Accent Construct harmless against any claim by a third party against Accent Construct due to unlawful processing of their data.

7.8. Under no circumstance can Accent Construct be held liable for the content of the Contest Page and the submitted answers, nor for any unlawful use thereof.

 

ARTICLE 8 – ACCEPTANCE

Participation in the Competition implies full knowledge and irrevocable acceptance without reservation of the current Competition Rules. By participating in the Competition, the Participant accepts all the provisions of the Competition Rules, as well as any decision that Accent Construct should take.

 

ARTICLE 9 – PRIVACY

9.1. During and after the Contest, the Participant provides personal data to Accent Construct.
Accent Construct processes this personal data with respect for the Act of July 30, 2018, concerning the protection of natural persons regarding the processing of personal data, for the transposition, supplementation, and implementation of the European Regulation 2016/679 of April 27, 2016, concerning the protection of personal data (hereinafter: the “GDPR”) and the Act of June 13, 2005, concerning electronic communications.

Accent Construct processes the Participant’s personal data with due care and confidentiality, in accordance with its Privacy Policy (available on the website www.accentjobs.be). The Participant declares to have read and understood the Privacy Policy.

9.2. The controller for the processing of the Participants’ personal data is Accent Construct nv, Beversesteenweg 576, 8800 Roeselare.

9.3. The personal data referred include the name, first name, company name, e-mail address, telephone number, and postal code of the Participant. The personal data is collected with the purpose of ensuring the proper conduct of the Contest, in particular the ability to contact the Participants regarding their participation, to efficiently deliver the Prize, and to mention the name and winning answer of the Winners on the Website and Accent’s Facebook or Instagram page, as well as to assist Participants in finding a suitable job.

9.4. Participants guarantee that they lawfully provide personal data to Accent Construct and will fully indemnify and hold Accent Construct harmless against any claim by a third party against Accent Construct due to unlawful processing of their personal data.

9.5. Every Participant has certain rights regarding the processing of his/her personal data:

  1. Right of access and inspection: The Participant has the right to inspect his personal data at any time, free of charge, as well as the use Accent Construct makes of this personal data.
  2. Right to rectification, deletion, and restriction: The Participant is free to provide or not provide their personal data to Accent Construct. Additionally, the Participant always has the right to request Accent Construct to correct, supplement, or delete their personal data (in cases provided for by the GDPR). The Participant acknowledges that if they refuse to provide data or request the deletion of personal data, certain services and products may not be deliverable. The Participant may also request that the processing of his/her personal data be restricted. The participation of the Participant who requests full or partial deletion of his/her data before the end of the Contest, making it impossible for Accent Construct to contact the Participant, will be declared invalid, and this Participant will no longer be eligible for the Prize.
  3. Right to object: The Participant also has the right to object to the processing of his/her personal data for serious and legitimate reasons (in cases provided for by the GDPR). Additionally, the Participant always has the right to object to the use of personal data for direct marketing purposes; in such cases, no reasons need to be provided.
  4. Right of free data transfer: The Participant has the right to obtain his/her personal data processed by Accent Construct in a structured, common and machine-readable format and/or transfer this data to other controllers (in cases provided for by the GDPR).
  5. Right to withdraw consent: As far as the processing is based on prior consent, the Participant has the right to withdraw this consent. The participation of the Participant who withdraws his/her consent before the end of the Contest will be declared invalid, and this Participant will no longer be eligible for the Prize.

ARTICLE 10 – DISPUTES

10.1. Disputes or complaints regarding the current Contest must be sent within 8 days by letter to: Accent Construct nv, Beversesteenweg 576, 8800 Roeselare.

10.2. The Participant agrees, in the event of a discussion on the application or interpretation of the current Competition Rules, to first seek an amicable solution in consultation with Accent Construct before initiating legal proceedings.

10.3. Regarding the selection of a winner, no dispute will be accepted.

10.4. All decisions made by Accent Construct in the context of this Contest are final, irrevocable, and binding. No appeal can be made against these decisions.

10.5. If any provision of these Contest Rules is considered null or invalid, the remaining provisions of these Contest Rules will remain fully applicable.

10.6. These Contest Rules, as well as the conduct of the Contest itself, are subject to Belgian law.

10.7. The courts and tribunals of Kortrijk have exclusive jurisdiction to hear disputes regarding the creation, validity, execution, compliance, and interpretation of these Contest Rules.
