Landscape Gardener

You maintain and take care of various gardens and green spaces. This can include mowing lawns, pruning work, planting gardens, but also tree felling and shredding may occur.You work outside daily at different locations.You install fences.You lay terraces and driveways.You clean up waste and keep the workplace tidy.

The job as a gardener in Geel includes the following tasks as part of your duties:You create gardens according to the designs and plans of the business owner.You are responsible for the maintenance of established gardens and green spaces.You perform various gardening tasks such as planting, trimming hedges, and sowing grass.You lay pavers, garden paths, and other pavements.You do not need to perform fertilization work; this is outsourced.You work meticulously according to a pre-established plan.

Every day, you set out in a van and are responsible for the complete maintenance: mowing grass, trimming hedges, finishing edges and cleaning up with a blower. Where necessary, you also carry out fertilisation or apply pesticides. In spring, you take care of scarifying and prepare the gardens completely for summer. You keep accurate records of your work via work orders. 

You are responsible for maintaining and laying out gardens and terraces.Weeding, trimming hedges, mowing grass.Laying out terraces, driveways, installing fences, carrying out sowing and planting. 

You are responsible for:Harvesting vegetables (tomatoes, onions, leeks,...)Releasing insects onto cropsCounting insectsAssessing the quality of crops to determine if they are marketableIdentifying types of weeds 

As an installer, you help with the construction and finishing of play areas on public grounds.You install play equipment, from seesaws to large play combinations.You install impact-absorbing surfaces, such as poured rubber floors, rubber tiles, artificial grass, bark and sand.You carry out earthworks, such as excavating the necessary areas and breaking up existing foundations.You dismantle existing play equipment as part of the renovation of a play area.You lay paving stones for the further finishing of the site.
